Privacy Policy

BYProgrammer (“we”, “us”, or “our”) built the Small Stock app (the “App”) as a local inventory management tool. This Privacy Policy explains how information is handled when you use the App.

1. Information We Collect

Small Stock is designed to keep your data on your device. We do not require you to create an account, and we do not collect personal information on our servers.

Information stored locally in the App may include:

Inventory records, such as item names, codes, units, prices, groups, and images.
Transaction records (receive/issue/transfer) and related party/sender/receiver information.
Profile information you choose to enter, such as business name, address, and phone number.
Optional item photos taken with the camera or selected from your device gallery.

2. Permissions

The App may request access to the following features on your device:

Camera — to scan barcodes/QR codes and to take item photos.
Photos / Media / Files — to save item images and to let you back up or restore your database file.
Bluetooth — to connect to a Bluetooth thermal receipt printer for printing receipts.
In-app Billing — to process premium subscription purchases through Google Play or the App Store.

3. How We Use Your Information

All business and inventory data is used solely within the App to help you manage your stock and transactions. We do not use your data for advertising, analytics, or profiling, and we do not send it to our own servers.

4. Data Storage and Security

Your data is stored locally on your device using an embedded SQLite database. You can create backups at any time; backup files are written to a location you choose and are not uploaded by us. You are responsible for keeping your backup files secure.

5. Sharing of Information

The App lets you share data only when you explicitly choose to do so — for example, exporting a CSV file or sharing a receipt image through your device’s built-in share sheet. We do not transmit your data automatically or share it with third parties.

6. Third-Party Services

The App may contact the following third-party services:

Google Play / Apple App Store billing — to process premium subscription purchases. Payment details are handled by the store according to their own privacy policies.
App Store / Google Play version lookup — to check whether a newer version of the App is available and optionally prompt you to update. This request does not include your inventory or business data.

7. Children's Privacy

The App is not directed to children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

8. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted with a new effective date. We encourage you to review this policy periodically.
